Introduction

Driven by the live PSN database the report include analysis by Academies as an overall percentage of Schools, the percentage of those that are part of a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) and a deeper dive into the Schools across the largest MAT's.

The intention of the report is to provide insights into evolving Academy landscape across England for the benefit of members of the Public, Suppliers and Contractors, The Third Sector and those working in Education across Government.

Data shows first the total schools across each region, then the total of which have become Academies and finally the percentage of Academies vs the total.

There has been an increasing support for and trend over the past few years for Academies to become part of a Multi-Academy Trust rather than being independent/sit under a Single-Academy Trust (SAT). The chart is across all Academies, showing split between Schools that are and are not a member of a MAT.

The chart shows the total count of Academies per region and then the count and percentage of those within a MAT.
